The United States District Court for the District of Minnesota appointed Diane A. Nygaard and Jason M. Kueser among six attorneys selected as class counsel in a nationwide class action brought by more than 400,000 consumers against Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Mooney v. Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America). The class members allege that the sales practices of Allianz Life violated the Minnesota Prevention of Consumer Fraud Act and that Allianz Life was unjustly enriched at the expense of consumers.
In addition, Diane A. Nygaard was appointed Co-lead Counsel by the District Court of Shawnee, Kansas in a class action on behalf of Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) shareholders related to a proposed leveraged buyout of the company.
